Travel Study Program to Istanbul, Turkey
Title: Istanbul Study Abroad Program

Course Description:
The Istanbul Program is about enriching a student’s knowledge about a foreign culture, its architecture, planning, construction by field study of works in their natural and built-environment, primarily in Istanbul., i.e., capturing facts and impression, by means of field research: observing, listening, recording by various means, such as sketching, note-taking, photographing, and video and audio taping and leading to competent expressions of individual experiences brought together in an acceptable document – a paper thereafter enriched with literature survey. It is also the concern of the study to introduce the students to Modern Turkish architecture which is influenced by national and European developments that introduced new concepts and helped to form the identity and appearance of both cities and individual architecture.
