Nestled at 7,000 feet in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the charming, timeless, and enigmatic Santa Fe, New Mexico, claims a long history of rich cultural heritage. Founded as a capital city in 1607 by Spanish explorers, it was once claimed by the Pueblo Peoples, the Spanish Crown, Mexico, and the Confederacy. Santa Fe is known as the “City Different” because of its unique blend of Spanish history, Native American influences, and contemporary artistic culture.

During the summer months, the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, María-Estampa Benitez, and other groups fill the city with incomparable musical performances. Also labeled the “City of Boutiques,” Santa Fe rivals the best European capitals in its abundance of unique, handcrafted fashions, jewelry, and antiques. In fact, the popular international magazine Condé Nast Traveler rates Santa Fe as one of the favorite travel destinations in the world.
